Introduction .
Every day, hundreds of children leave their homes to come to school — a place of learning, friendship, and fun. But have you ever wondered why schools have gates, guards, or visitor passes? That’s because safety is not just a rule — it’s everyone’s responsibility.
Just like a bird builds its nest carefully to protect its young, every school must build strong habits to keep its pupils safe. Security in school is not only about police or fences; it’s also about awareness — knowing what to do, what not to do, and how to act wisely in times of danger.
Today, we are learning security tips in school — the small but powerful things we can all do to make our learning environment peaceful and safe.
Meaning of Security
Security means being safe and free from danger or harm.
It involves protecting people, property, and the environment from anything that can cause injury, loss, or fear.
In school, security means keeping pupils, teachers, and school property safe from strangers, accidents, or harmful situations.
Examples of Security Risks in School
1. Allowing strangers to enter without permission.
2. Playing rough games that can cause injury.
3. Keeping sharp objects or dangerous items in bags.
4. Not reporting suspicious people or lost items.
5. Leaving the school compound without permission.
Security Tips in School
Here are important ways pupils can stay safe and promote school security:
1. Know your school gate and security personnel. Always greet and obey them respectfully.
2. Never follow strangers. Even if they say your parents sent them — always confirm with your teacher first.
3. Report suspicious movements. If you see someone acting strangely, tell a teacher or guard.
4. Keep your school ID card safe. It helps identify who belongs in the school.
5. Avoid running or fighting in hallways. Accidents happen when pupils are careless.
6. Handle fire and electrical items carefully. Don’t play near sockets or fire extinguishers.
7. Keep your belongings safe. Label your books and bags to avoid loss.
8. Always walk in groups. Especially when going home or to the school bus.
9. Follow your teacher’s instructions during emergencies. Stay calm and attentive.
10. Pray before and after school. Ask Allah to protect you and your friends.
Moral and Islamic Connection 🌙
In Islam, security (amanah) is a sacred trust. The Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) said:
“A believer is the one from whom people’s lives and properties are safe.” – (Tirmidhi)
This means every pupil must behave in ways that protect others from harm. A good Muslim is watchful, responsible, and peaceful — whether in school, home, or anywhere else.

Teacher’s Reflection (SmartDeen Academy):
This lesson reminded me that security education starts with awareness, not fear. When pupils understand safety rules, they learn to act wisely and responsibly. At SmartDeen Academy, we believe a safe school is not only protected by fences but by informed minds and caring hearts.
