📖 Story Time: The Day Knowledge Began

Long ago in Makkah, there lived a man named Muhammad (peace be upon him). He was known for being honest and kind. Every year, he went to a quiet cave called Hira, where he would pray and think about Allah.

One night, while he was deep in thought, something amazing happened. The Angel Jibril (Gabriel) appeared before him and said:

 “Iqra! — Read!

The Prophet replied, “I cannot read.”

The angel hugged him tightly and said again,

“Read in the name of your Lord who created.”

That moment was the beginning of Suratul Al-Alaq. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) trembled and hurried home to his wife Khadijah, who comforted him. She took him to a wise man named Waraqah ibn Nawfal, who confirmed that the angel who came to him was the Angel of Revelation.

From that night, the world changed — the journey of Islam began with the command to Read.
